So inspired by QSP's weekly schedule, I decided maybe it's better that I make my own instead of posting haphazardly. So I'll start this post with my own proposed schedule, that I think may change depending on how things play out.
The Sunday Report: This will be me talking about my limited experience over the weekend (if I drafted at all) and/or constructed experience. If I didn't do anything sanctioned, then I'll just be talking about constructed in general.
Modest Monday: This will primarily be MTGO reports, but in general, budget-y type of decks. It will mainly be MTGO because I primarily play budget on MTGO.
The Tues. Blues: This will be a report on some misplay I had over the past weekend or some play evaluation that I feel needs to be looked over. I think it will make me a better player to reflect to an audience about it. It will also make those who have not thought about it aware of it.
Hump Day: It's the giant hurdle to go over. The big hump. EDH decks look like big humps compared to regular 60 card decks right? So on Hump day I'll be going over EDH, primarily the EDH round robin adventures that QSP and I are going through.
Thirsty Thursday: The brew. It's the time for deck techs. What I've been playing. What I've been working on. What I've been brewing. You'll find me talking about some deck I've been playing or at least thinking about here. This will also be where EDH decks come in!
Casual Friday: Most workplaces have casual Friday so why not here? I'll be talking about some casual or fun deck or idea this day. Something light hearted right before we get into the competitive weekend.
Sample Saturday: This is the day I'll be talking about extras. What do I mean by that? I'll be evaluating the extras that we use while we play magic. This includes evaluating deck boxes, dice, playmats, sleeves, or anything, all the way up to snacks, drinks, and music to use while playing Magic. This day may change, but I think it was a neat idea, and felt that it worked best this day since sometime over the weekend I would be going to a shop to play and could look at or test some merchandise.
So, that's what my proposed schedule looks like. For those of you who want the tl;dr version:
So now that we got that out of the way. Deck tech time!
I figured I'd start with my Rafiq of the Many Bant Deck! Why? Well it's a deck that was last posted in a match, and it is going to be playing another match soon to get up to 3 matches (where we want each deck to be to make standings more accurate and contextual). Additionally, I am really liking what I am seeing with the bant precon that is coming out next month, and may even changing generals to the one that was spoiled today!

Now. To go over some of the deck's details.
First, the deck only has 34 lands, much lower than the average EDH deck. The reason for this is that there is so much mana accel and fetch that I feel that the deck usually can get away with it (outside of horrific partial paris mulligans).
I am thinking of taking out the come into play tapped fetches but outside of that the mana base is solid. It also has some nice utility lands in maze of ith, kor haven, sejiri steppe, and strip mine. Which brings me to our first creature, knight of the reliquary. That card can go and fetch a sejiri steppe at any time for a combat trick of protection. Additionally, with crucible of worlds, you can get back any of the lands you are sacrificing if you are okay with her being smaller. Most of the creatures in the deck are in for a reason: they have a good ETB effect and like being blinked, can be gotten back with sun titan, or can be gotten back with reveillark (2 power or less). Outside of vorinclex and consecrated sphinx the rest fall under one of those 3 rule. This allows for nice bounce, flicker, or other combos between the creatures.
As far as non creature spells go, most of them are ramp or strong utility such as be
ast within. Crystal shard helps with the bounce/flicker theme, tezzeret the seeker is probably one of the best cards in the deck. It can fetch an oblivion stone, a sword, any ramp, or phyrexian metamorph. I have a few mana sink spells in sphinx's revelation, genesis wave, and stroke of genius, because sometimes this deck has a lot of mana but cannot do anything with it.
Rafiq is a secondary win con if I need to get there fast, as equipping him with a sword or two and going to town (or another creature with him out) is scary fast - especially since between the 3 swords I have in the deck, I have all 5 colors covered in terms of protection.
Additionally, grim monolith and mana reflection give me infinite mana.
Finally, let's look at the mana curve. I feel like the CC4 needs a bit more cards and CC5 needs a bit less, but I am happy with the curve overall. With the ramp, we can hit CC4 and CC5 pretty consistently on turn 3 or earlier.
That's pretty much the deck. I like the synergy all of the creatures have with each other, that is my main draw to this deck.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed (maybe even just a little) this deck tech. At the very least, if you are reading the EDH round robin adventures, seeing the whole deck may give you a bit more context.
On a final note, I'll just say: can't wait for more spoilers tomorrow for commander!
